Three quote follow-up texts you can adapt
Clear examples for a quote that just went out, a check-in, and a final follow-up.
1. Check the quote arrived
Use this when you have sent the correct quote but have no confirmation that it reached the customer. Replace the name, business and job. Offer help without adding a deadline.
Hi Sam, it’s Alex from Coast Plumbing. I’ve sent through the quote for your hot water system replacement. Could you let me know it arrived? Happy to explain anything in it.
2. Make the next step easy
After the customer has had a reasonable chance to read it, ask a single question. Keep the message relevant to their requested work. Avoid stacking a text, call and email on the same day.
Hi Sam, Alex from Coast Plumbing here. Just checking in on your hot water system replacement quote. Is there anything you’d like me to clarify before you decide?
3. Close the loop
After reasonable follow-up, give the customer a straightforward way to say yes or no. Then update your records. A final check-in should actually be final unless they reply.
Hi Sam, Alex from Coast Plumbing here. One last check-in about your hot water system replacement quote. Is it still on your list, or shall I close it off for now? Either way is fine. Thanks.
Before you press send
Check every fact against your written quote. Use the customer’s preferred contact method. Only contact people appropriately and respect any request to stop. The free builder adapts these examples in your browser; it does not send them for you.
